Riverside Square set to shake up Hout Bay property market

Houtbay_Pooldeck_Update3.resizeDeveloper Farrelli Properties has launched a new sectional title development in Hout Bay. The development, Riverside Square, will be in demand, this according to Cathy Cockcroft, IHPC estate agent in charge of marketing of the units, who said that the development has a competitive edge based on its tranquil setting and favourable pricing (ranging from R1,185m to R2,550m)

The 63 unit development will have 12 bachelor units, 24 one bedroom units, and 27 two bedroom apartments in a four storey block. Cockroft said that construction on Riverside Square has begun, with completion and handover of the units expected by early 2017.

Adding to the development’s appeal is the fact that Riverside Square is sited on Empire Avenue, on the banks of the Disa River with views of the Hout Bay valley and surrounding mountains. This was considered in the design of the units, with units designed to be light, airy and modern, maximising on the mountain and wetland views. The developers feel that this will become a landmark development in the bay, as they have positioned it, while taking in views, to be private and welcoming to its residents

Cockcroft added that the developers made security a priority during the design phase, with the development including intercom systems, biometric access, electrified perimeter fencing, CCTV camera surveillance and 24-hour guard services with an on-site duty manager.

Cockcroft believes that the development will proof to be very popular, “It offers residents a unique opportunity to live in a modern, secure environment, which will appeal to owner occupiers and investors alike,” explained Cockcroft.
