Pam Golding Properties’ Cape rental division has concluded a number of high-value leases since the start of the 2017 financial year (March 2016), for homes and apartments on the Atlantic Seaboard, in the City Bowl and the Southern Suburbs.
One Clifton apartment has been signed for R110,000/month for the first year and R121,000/month for the second year. A Bantry Bay apartment has been leased for R100,000/month and a Clifton bungalow for R80,000/month.
In the Southern Suburbs, two, five-bedroom Bishopscourt homes are being leased for R89,000 and R65,000/month respectively, while in the City Bowl, a four-bedroom Higgovale house has been rented for R44,000/month. An Oranjezicht penthouse for R42,000/month is under negotiation.
Cape Metro rental manager, Dexter Leite, said the strong demand is underpinned by factors such as South Africans’ migration from other provinces, the appealing lifestyle, established infrastructure, excellent schools and tertiary institutions and Cape Town’s reputation as a well-managed city.
