There’s no burger, like a Jo’burger (Go Lions!)

All South African rugby fans are hoping that the great performance by the Lions last week was just a precursor for a cracker of a game this weekend.
We asked Nina from My Easy Cooking to suggest a spicy… erm… stomach liner to match the fiery spirit of South African fans.
Jalepeño Burgers with Blue Cheese Sauce
Makes four burgers
Ingredients
500g sirloin mince
5 Pepadew Jalapeño halves – finely chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
1 egg
Method
Mix all the ingredients for the burgers together and shape into four even-sized patties. Heat a griddle pan and grill the patties to your liking.
Ingredients for the Blue Cheese sauce
250ml cream
100g Fairview Blue Tower
Method
Pour the cream into a small pot and crumble the cheese into it. Bring to the boil and allow the cream to cook and reduce to a thicker consistency. Serve on burgers.
We hope the game tomorrow is as rewarding for the Lions (and their fans) as this delicious meal will be for your taste buds!
