Constantia enclave breaks home sale record

plumstead-barbarossa-r4-5m-seeff-sale-1Four and a half million: This is the new record price set for a home sold in Meadow Way, a small residential pocket within Barbarossa Constantia.

The new record price trumps the previous one by just R100,000, achieved earlier this year. The cash sale of the three-bedroom family home took just 19 days, and was R100,000 less than the seller’s asking price of R4,6m.

Agents Peter Thornton and Peter Marais, Seeff’s team for Plumstead and the surrounding areas, said there is strong demand in the area and that it is a great time for prospective sellers to get into the market.

James Lewis, Seeff MD for the Southern Suburbs areas, said that properties below the R5m price band across the area remain hot sellers; while luxury homes up to R18m are also still attracting substantial buyer interest.
